Raisa Bonnet

Raisa Bonnet, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, developed an interest in storytelling through her parents' bookstore. She earned a Bachelor's in Audiovisual Communication from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master's in Fine Arts from NYU. Bonnet teaches filmmaking at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez Campus. Her short film ‘Luna Vieja’ received international acclaim, winning awards at the Seattle International Film Festival and Cinefiesta International Film Festival. Bonnet is also working on her first feature film, ‘Afloat’, after winning the Filmmakers Immersion Pitching Contest.
