Representative.  In 2005 he portrayed Howard's neighbor in the indie thriller "Nick Romero", and in 2006 Dave portrayed Commander Mike McAndrews in "The Hurricane Hunters" and Dr. Richard Hopkins in "This Pain in My Side."  He also shot an unaired made-for-TV pilot titled "Murder", in which he played Detective Murray.      Some of Dave's more notable roles included retired professor John Herbert in "banana moon" (2002), Mayor John White in "Neptune Cowboy" (2004), Archbishop Juan Rodriguez in "The Exorcist Chronicles" (2002), and Saul Eisenberg in "Four 1 Liberation Front" (2007), in addition to his role as Professor Acuri in the 2012 drama/thriller "Travelling Salesman."      Dave has broadened his involvement in the indie film ‘biz to include assisting filmmakers with the production, marketing, distribution and film festival strategizing for their films.  His interest in the promotion of indie films was supplemented by his recent three-year term as Vice-President of the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival, and his subsequent assistance in starting up two new film festivals in California.      He continues to serve as an advisor to film festivals and work with indie filmmakers to develop their feature film projects as well as their marketing and distribution and film festival strategies and plans. For the past few years he has also been promoting several film-related initiatives in the Great Lakes region, including an innovative program in which a university in Wisconsin organizes, conducts and summarizes test screenings of feature films for indie filmmakers.      Some of Dave’s other recent projects include helping to promote the California central coast premiere of a film by an Australian film team and assisting a NY/LA film team as it prepares to move its first full-length feature film into pre-production. Dave has also entered the world of songwriting, having penned lyrics for emerging popular musicians with roots in Nashville, California and Alaska. And he continues to actively pursue acting roles in TV and film, his most ardent passion in “the ‘biz.”
